We had an amazing date night at Davanti Enoteca! From the moment we sat down, our server Sandy was absolutely wonderful. She was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and gave us fantastic recommendations that did not disappoint. She made us feel so welcome and really added to the overall experience. The food was outstanding! The Polenta Ragu was absolutely fire—rich, flavorful, and one of the best dishes I’ve had in a long time. We also shared the meatballs and bruschetta, and both were incredible. My husband had the Pollo Milanese, and he loved it. The atmosphere was warm, lively, and perfect for a date night. You can tell the chef takes pride in every dish because everything was cooked to perfection. A huge thank you to Sandy for making our evening so enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back and will be requesting her again! Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for amazing Italian food and exceptional service.

We came here as a little treat to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We got here around 4:30pm on a Thursday, and seemed to be the first people there. Overall we had a good time, and really enjoyed our food. Our server was very on top of things and very attentive to us, which I get is easy when the restaurant isn't busy but it's still nice. We ordered the Whipped Ricotta as an appetizer, which was so tasty we practically licked the plate clean. The bread is very light and fluffy, so it didn't feel like you were filling up on it. My husband ordered the Gnocchi Pomodoro and devoured it, and since he ordered what I was going to get, I took a gamble on the (appears to be seasonal) Linguine Vongole. Seafood dishes in Illinois I always feel are a hit or miss, and even though this was such a simple dish, it was so incredibly flavorful. I also received a bowl to put my empty clams in, which was a nice touch. There are a few critiques that I have, though they are not necessarily preventing me from going back. For one, the food service seemed oddly slow despite us being the only people there. Our waitress was not at fault on this, it just seemed like the kitchen was slow. Two, I ordered a mocktail, which ended up being from a can. At $13, this is highway robbery. Three, and most annoying to me, was that our bill came with a 3% "supplemental charge". This is explained at the bottom of the receipt as "to offset rising costs". It can be removed, and I asked for it to be removed. Our waitress did this without complaint, though tried to explain it while she was taking my check away. I don't really care why it's there: I find it grossly unprofessional and makes a business look like it's crying poor. Given the location of this restaurant and the prices they are charging, I doubt that's the case. If it's a credit card fee, then call it a credit card fee and offer a cash rate. If not, then don't charge customers, the majority of whom are going to feel too awkward about asking to remove it.

We were there celebrating my daughter’s birthday, and it was a perfect night. The atmosphere was wonderful. The food was amazing. Chef made a fried cauliflower appetizer that was absolutely delicious and the focaccia bread with honey was crazy good. All of us enjoyed our dinner dishes and evan had dessert. Server David stayed on top of all our needs. Definitely coming back again.

Outstanding service and amazing food! Jeff was our bartender / server and he made the experience even better! Loved the atmosphere during the day and night. (We stayed for hours & never once felt like we were being rushed to close our tab, which I appreciated.) Parking is right next door & you are in walking distance to everything downtown. Highly recommend! Especially the braised pork shoulder & polenta! (I ate it so fast I forgot to take a picture)❤️😋🍸

My boyfriend and I come here once a month every anniversary date, why? The food GREAT, servers GREAT, atmosphere GREAT! Kimberly K has served us a few times and she’s the best. She’s always got recommendations for us from wine to food. She’s fun and enthusiastic every time, big shout out to her! Our favorites are the traditional bruschetta and the vodka rigatoni with sausage. Food is always consistent too, highly recommend! Their steak when they have the special is also great.
