They are not lawn care, they’re weed maintenance. They came and sprayed my yard, after a couple days you could see the clear path they walked and sprayed because all of my grass turned into dead yellow straw. I let it go for about a week, hoping it “had to get worst before it got better” only to watch more of my lawn die. I called for someone to come check it out, a young boy came and explained the product they use killed my grass bc of what kind of grass I had. (Ground breaking!) when I asked what the solution was he told me that was above his pay grade and left. Then for the next 8 days I made several phone calls spoke to supervisors, managers, emailed pictures, and was told they’re product killed my grass because of what kind it was and it was not their responsibility. They then sent another man to come look who told me the same thing and when I showed him what my lawn looked like back in April (it was end of may)to show it has completely destroyed my green yard for the summer season with two small toddlers who spend everyday playing back here, he told me there’s nothing he could do now but would promise to lay seed in OCTOBER. I’d have to deal with this for the rest of the summer with my yard looking like a dessert. There was no warning or mention that their weed killer could have that effect and that they wouldn’t be responsible if it did. For 30$ for buy your own weed killer and do it for yourself. I’ll never use or recommend tru green again. Utter disappointment and left my yard looking embarrassing.

We've used TrueGreen for years. Our lawn is treated while our neighbors are not. Their yards areen equal mix of weeds and grass while our lawb is weed free and beautiful to look at.

Ayden my technician has been giving me the results that I want on my front lawn. Since signing up, my yard has slowly looked better and better. Ayden, even though I haven’t met you properly yet, just know I’m very satisfied with the work you’ve been putting in on my lawn.

This is the second time I've tried Trugreen, in Virginia Beach, and second catastrophic failure. The first time was with my rental property in 2020 when I was stationed across the country, I'd come visit quarterly and see that the lawn looked terrible and upon talking to the tenants, they'd tell me that the treatments killed the grass. I was not inclined to believe them because this company is SO highly rated. I feel bad for my disbelief now. Once I came back to the East Coast, sold my previous property and bought a new one, I knew I needed professional lawn care to remedy the minor patchiness of the lawn. I had seeded it myself and was watering twice a day every day aside from storm days and had beautiful fresh/strong sprouts all around the base of the tree, and all along the borders of the yard. I was told by trugreen that if I seeded it myself there would be no issues with the treatments. I've had 5 of the series of 8 services and I just cancelled because my yard looks worse than before I started and I'm not letting the remaining 3 services kill what little grass I have left. The yard is dead where it never was before. I wish I'd taken pictures along the way, but here's the result that prompted this review. I'm not getting that money back for seeds or the services, but hopefully I can help prevent someone else go through what I did, or at least document what happened -TWICE!

I will not say anything but posting before and after pics. What was our lawn and how it looks like after hiring True Green. Please Stay away from that company . We had our last service yesterday with them and technician sprayed fertilizer and weed control on dead grass prior to charge us. They killed my grass because they ignored fungus for a long time and sprayed fertilizer instead. PS. Even though we had barrier around our newly planted redbud tree their technician sprayed something around its roots and killed the plant in a 2-3 days. Horrible experience
