Very bizarre experience overall, unfortunately. Woodlake Family Dental came highly recommended and we noticed the positive online reviews. We only went to this practice a combined total of 3 times. The dental hygienist who treated us was consistently professional, nice, and helpful. The dental staff was ok. The main ongoing issue we experienced was lack of communication, professionalism, and follow up pertaining to the suggested treatments that were recommended. We were told that Woodlake Dental staff was going to speak with our insurance to coordinate benefits and get back to us with estimates. We repeatedly asked for that information and kept being told that it would be emailed to us each time. We checked spam/junk folders and nothing was there. At some point, I was told that they had a treatment plan on file and they were not sure why I did not have that information or the quote for the services. The conversations were mutually pleasant and respectful and it was all very circular confusing. When we still hadn’t gotten the information that we asked for by October, I requested a copy of our records and let them know that we’d be going to another practice due to the disappointing experience of not being able to move forward with the recommended treatment because they were not getting back to us with the information that we needed to do so. They showed no interest in retaining our business and even less interest in trying to get to the bottom of why the information wasn’t communicated to us. Surprisingly, the emails with the records came through. So, I’m not sure why the other information never did. It would have been nice if someone had taken the initiative to trouble shoot or follow up with us during the several months that we were asking for the insurance quote and copy of the suggested plan of care. It seems like a simple enough thing to do and it continues to come across as odd that they made no attempt to do so. I’d also suggest keeping accurate records of payments made to this practice. I would typically have to ask it if I had a balance on my account. I recently received a bill for services rendered several months ago. I’m not sure of its accuracy or if I actually received a complete copy of my medical records, but don’t see any resolution if this is the case based on my overall experience. From a first time patient’s perspective I would categorize Woodlake Family Dental as coming across disorganized, dismissive, and disinterested. They do have plenty of positive reviews, so I’m hopeful that our experience was an unfortunate outlier.

This was my son‘s first ever dentist appointment. He’s a toddler, so I knew he was going to be fussy, but even from the experience in the lobby, I felt really calm. The check in process was friendly and easy. The hygienist was very understanding and calm, even while my toddler was crying. The dentist was also Very calm and provided very good directions. I’m excited for them to be our family Dentist.

Not a fan of their billing. They go through a third party billing process. Did not even know I owed. The billing statement is so vague does not even have a breakdown of the costs and services. it’s not even properly billed to the appropriate patients. I had to call for clarification because the statement said I was 90 days late. I had never received a single statement, hence why I had to call for clarification. I wasn’t arguing the cost. I was upset that there was nothing on the statement explaining anything. I came here because of the reviews. Another thing I found strange is that You don’t get estimates either until the day of your appointment so then you’re pressured to make a decision if not you will probably be charged their $50 fee and be a no show. You just get told it’ll be emailed or texted as long as you provided the info, only for it to never come. I am not a fan of that either. Service is nice but their billing process not a fan.

I love this clinic. I have always had great experience in all the years I’ve been coming. Their entire staff - from front desk to assistants to the dentists are always so empathetic and friendly and genuinely caring. They have made sure I’m not in pain, they have called and followed up after any procedures, they have been accommodating to my schedule - I cannot say enough nice things about them. My teeth are so clean and healthy.

This is my second time at this new dentist office and everybody is really nice and sweet like they really care about you not just your teeth but as a person. I had my second cleaning and was able to talk and laugh with my hygienist and I really like dr Stephen macowsky he made my first time visit very comfortable and not rushed as well.
